Turbonetics is one company that spreads the love of their products over not just on land, but into the sky as well, and has been expanding into aviation.
“Aviation is where we have been, people think we have left automotive, but have been trying to spread things out evenly,” said Reggie Wynn. “We are capable of being in multiple markets. We have a turbo that is rated for burst containment for aircraft.”
Turbonetics’ capabilities span even further:
- Automotive performance, industrial, marine, military spec, and FAA certified turbochargers
- Industrial spec pressure control valves
- Heat exchangers designed and engineered to last in rugged conditions
- Flexible and scalable production of custom components from one-offs to high volume
“We also have some new products out. We have a T3 and T4 internally gated turbine housings. Along with the housings, we have a tight radius exhaust elbow,” Wynn continued.
The T3 version is available in .65 or .85 a/r’s, and the T4 version is available in .90 or .105 a/r’s. They have a seven psi wastegate actuator, and a 3.5-inch turbine discharge.
The exhaust elbow has a CFD design to maximize flow and performance. The tight-radius elbow is specifically designed for cramped engine bay installations, and made from ductile iron. It is designed to mate to any Turbonetics existing turbine housing with a three-inch or 3.5-inch V-band discharge.
