UPDATE: FOX8 News out of High Point, North Carolina, has just posted an interview with Charlie Buck, owner of Buck Racing Engines. The story quotes Buck as saying that his life has been violated and and it is “tough to deal with.” Then Buck directs some of his frustration at the reality show “Street Outlaws,” which in one episode featured Ronnie Dale Pollard, who is currently wanted by the police in King, North Carolina.
“The Discovery Channel (producers of the show ‘Street Outlaws’) should have done a little better job checking people out,” Buck told FOX8’s Michael Hennessey. “It’s just hard to believe that somebody like that’s been on TV, and then they break in and steal stuff from you.”
Buck also admits to FOX8 that he seriously doubts the stolen engines and parts will be recovered.

UPDATE: EngineLabs just contacted King (NC) police chief Paula May with additional questions. She said investigatory information about any evidence cannot be released at this time, and no search warrants have been issued.
“We have not recovered any stolen engines or parts yet,” adds May. “We have been working with law enforcement in Oklahoma.”
Surveillance video from Buck Racing Engines taken the day before the break-in may have helped in the investigation leading to the arrest warrant issued for Ronnie Dale Pollard, Jr., who is well known in the street-racing community for his appearances on ‘Street Outlaws.’

Arrest warrants for Ronnie Dale Pollard, Jr.—who once appeared on Discovery Channel’s street-racing reality show “Street Outlaws,” and Christopher P. Goodman have been issued by the King City Police Department in connection with the break-in and theft of several engines from Buck Racing Engines in June.
According to a news release issued by police chief Paula May, both Pollard, age 47, of North Country Meadow Lane, Skiatook, Oklahoma, and Goodman, age 32, of East 46th Street South, Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, are charged with felony larceny, conspiracy to break and enter a building and commit larceny, and aiding and abetting a felony larceny.
The release also says the investigation is continuing and additional charges are forthcoming in this case.
According to police reports, Buck Racing Engines (BRE) in King was broken into the early morning of June 19. Engines and other high-performance parts with a total value of just under $315,000 were taken. The latest news release now says the total value of the missing items is $445,000, plus there was $14,000 in property damage.
According to Chief May, both Pollard and Goodman are being investigated by other law enforcement agencies across the country.
As EngineLabs reported earlier, there is a possible connection between the theft at BRE and another break-in at Eagle Racing Engines (ERE) in Knoxville, Tennessee, the night before. ERE is some 260 miles driving distance from King. Michael Hedgecock, owner of Eagle Racing Engines, was not available for comment, and a person answering the phone at Buck Racing Engines said owner Charlie Buck would not comment to EngineLabs at this time.
