Breaking on to the X275 scene is Bryan “Kornbread” Hall. Based out of Virginia Beach with a brand new, yet war torn 2000 Mustang, Hall has already been as fast as 5.09 at 137 at his X275 debut at The Ultimate Outlaw Shootout, held at MIR on Sept 17th. Bryan took out the number 1 qualifier, the elusive Chris Evans, in the 1st round of eliminations with a 5.11 @137. Taking out such a prominent hard-charger like Evans on a driver’s first passes in a new car is something few have done.
The Mustang is powered by a 347 small block Ford with an Eagle rotating assembly, Edelbrock Victor Jr. heads and a Procharger F1R. A Dynamic Powerglide transmission with an Ultimate converter transfers the power to the 8.8 rear end. The dialed in UPR rear suspension and custom front suspension are responsible for the 1.19 60ft times. And that of course was made on the 275/60/15 Drag Radials.
Mr. Hall would like to thank his entire crew and local sponsers, for all of their help. “Wifey” Lisa Hall, Greg Yasika, Steve Seidel, Jason Hall, Tony Rush and Tina Mclovin. A big thanks goes to Mike from Back Half Racecars and Matt from Matt Wirt Race Fab and to Brian Teachman, for the amazing paint job. “The plans for me and the car are to run the rest of the year with this motor to get some seat time. Then drop in the new bullet in and really hurt some feelings”.
