JMS Chip and Performance, a top-shelf aftermarket performance products supplier has introduced some exciting new wheels for a variety of muscle cars and an EcoBoost power builder to its extensive offerings. We got the skinny from Chris Johnson at JMS.
“We have two new wheel designs, the Avenger wheel, which is a five-star wheel design. That is available in a polished finish, black with a mill cut or what we would call a diamond cut, and silver with a diamond cut, and black or silver chrome. Then there is the Savage wheel, which is a round hole-type wheel. It is offered in the same finishes as the Avenger.”
“They are primarily for drag racing, and its a very strong, affordable drag race-style wheel, but we have so many sizes that it’s applicable to road racing as well. It’s available in a 15×10 for the rear, and a 17×4.5 for the front. We also have them in a 9-inch wheel for both front and rear, as well as 10-inch wheel for all the way around, for road racing.” The cast wheels are rated at 690 kilograms and ideal for enthusiasts who want a stylish look coupled with a wide range of size selections.
“There is also a wheel that has the offset to fit the 2013-2014 model-year Shelby. We have part numbers to fit any Mustang from 1994 to 2015, and wheels for Camaros, Corvettes, and many Mopar applications too. All the wheels are a cast construction and very strong. Even the front wheel is load rated at 690 kilograms (1,500 pounds).”
BoostMAX
EcoBoost Mustang owners will definitely want to take a look at the JMS BoostMAX. This plug and play device increases the performance of the new 2.3 turbo powered Mustang significantly, at a price point worth the money. Best of all, it won’t void the warranty, and can easily be removed if you decide to sell the car, or choose to do so in the future for any reason.
“The next thing on our hot list is the BoostMAX for the EcoBoost engine in the 2015 2.3L Mustang. It’s easy to install because it’s basically a plug-and-play operation, and it adds about five pounds of boost. It relies on the factory control system to function, so there’s no knock, and it has a control knob that allows you to dial in the amount of boost from zero to five. It can be stacked with our other products such as custom tuning, PedalMAX, spark plugs, or cold air kit set ups. With no other parts or tuning, BoostMAX adds about 50 lb-ft of torque and 35 hp on 93 octane fuel.”
“To operate, it plugs into three different sensors, MAP, throttle, and pedal position in the car, and controls the amount of boost based on the knob position and the pedal pressure. The boost is on-demand, and it can be turned up while you drive, so you really feel it in the seat. It’s power on demand, at your finger tips.”
“We offer it at $299 retail, which we think is good value for that much power. And the way we designed it, especially since people buying new cars are so sensitive about warranty, the BoostMAX makes no ECU calibration changes so it won’t affect warranty.”
With a reasonable price tag that represents a decent bang for the buck, the BoostMAX will be a popular item for many EcoBoost owners. With many new products, and support that owners can build on, JMS Chip has a lot to offer enthusiasts across a
