Debuting for the first time at PRI in Indianapolis, X-Force brought out their line of performance exhaust systems, including components from the headers to the mufflers.
Thier line of equal length headers for LS1 to LS4 platforms were on display in 304 stainless steel, accompanied by Varex mufflers – the first of their kind with a world-wide patent on the internal butterfly valve.
The Varex muffler is different from the cutouts that a lot of the hot rod and musclecar guys have used in the past. The Varex mufflers’ butterfly valve works by using a key fob to control the motor, opening and closing the valve to control back pressure in the exhaust system.
There is a five-year warranty on the 304 stainless steel muffler, and a one-year warranty on all electrical components.
Included in the Varex kit is the muffler, the key fob, the butterfly valve and motor, and the control module, available in 14 different styles and variations. In addition to their universal applications, direct-fit applications including 2010-2014 Mustang and some JDM vehicles like Subaru and Mitsubishi Evo.
The 2015 Mustang and 2015 Dodge Hellcats are all under development for their direct fit applications, in addition to their universal applications. The VK02 kit will control both valves on a dual exhaust kit. The inlet/outlet come in various sizes, up to four inches, and the mufflers have various shapes from round to oval.
