Weld Racing‘s years of wheel technology is returning to the truck, dually and trailer market in a big way. With 10 different wheel designs, Weld’s truck, dually and trailer line of forged wheels hit the market in either black anodized or polished finish.
Welds truck, dually and trailer wheels come in 10 different styles and two different finish options.
Weld’s Kyle Fickler explains,”Our truck wheels are fully lab tested, basically tortured, under extreme conditions to ensure they exceed OE and aftermarket ratings. The dually wheels are front and rear specific so there is no need for extra adapters or flipping the wheel to make it fit. Our trailer tires are unmatched with a 3,750 load rating and are designed for multi-axle trailers.”
Weld’s dually wheels are front and rear specific for direct mounting to eight lug applications. The truck tires are 5, 6, or 8 spoke design based on the number of lugs and feature a Weld “roll forged” exclusive rim lip to increase bead strength.

According to Weld’s engineers at the SEMA show, SAE testing is inconsistent for truck and trailer tires, often with manufacturers testing 33-inch tires or 32-inch tires to reach the standards in SAE testing. Fickler says, “We conduct our testing on 44-inch tires to the 3,500 pound load test rating.”
Utilizing the SAE J2530 testing parameters on a 44-inch tire results in a load of approximately 7,540 ft. lbs. in the cornering test. While Weld’s forged wheels have no difficulty in this stringent testing environment, finding a tire that can match the strength of Weld’s wheels has been problematic. “We kept blowing tires because they were never designed to handle that type of load at highway speeds,” one Weld engineer said.
Weld’s Chris Bovis states,”What’s really unique about these wheels is that they are made in the United States and they are the highest quality forged aluminum wheels you can buy on the market today.”
CNC machined to put the weight and strength exactly where it is needed, these wheels are a one piece forged unit that fully designed and tested at the Weld facility in Kansas City. The truck, dually and trailer wheels can all be matched for a professional look throughout your tow rig and trailer. They can even be matched to your race car or show car for the ultimate in style at the track or car show.
Bovis summed up the Weld Racing truck, dually and trailer line of wheels stating, “These wheels are stronger, tougher, truer and lighter than competitive wheels on the market.”
