Mac Tools has extended their contract with Kalitta Motorsports as the primary sponsor of Doug Kalitta’s Top Fuel Dragster through 2016. Mac Tools has been either the primary or associate sponsor of Kalitta Motorsports for more than 20 years, representing one of the longest-running sponsor-team relationships in the sport. During the economic downturn, Mac decided to take an associate sponsorship role with the Kalitta team at the end of the 2008 season. They became the team’s primary sponsor again during the 2012 U.S. Nationals in Indianapolis.

The partnership with Mac and Kalitta has been one of the longest and most enduring in NHRA history, and one of the most successful, too. The partnership gives Mac the chance to increase their product and brand exposure, and as always, the opportunity to attract men and women who may want to ‘Be Their Own Boss’ by becoming a Mac Tools Franchise.  

With only the AAA Auto Club Finals at Pomona left in the 2013 NHRA Mello Yello Drag Racing Series season, Kalitta, who is in third place and 138 points out of the lead, will be battling for the runner-up spot after an exceptional Countdown run.
