MAHLE Clevite Incorporated recently announced the transition of its company name to MAHLE Aftermarket Incorporated. Now that may not mean a lot to the average automotive enthusiast, but it meant a lot to the people at MAHLE, and it helped bring things in line.
So that you know exactly what it means, and understand how the change effected the company and how it will effect you, the car or truck builder, we talked to the folks at the company.
Mahle Aftermarket supplies parts for and supports a wide variety of motorpsorts ranging from drag racing to monster trucks to stock cars.
We found out that the conversion serves to bring MAHLE in line with all of the other MAHLE Global Aftermarket divisions, and to highlight the continued expansion of the MAHLE Aftermarket product offering, but it will not affect the existing brands.

The MAHLE Aftermarket website offers pros and sportsmen a wide variety of features and information, including a guide to troubleshooting bearing wear problems.
MAHLE Aftermarket continues to grow the well known Clevite brand of engine bearings and engine parts, and the Victor Reinz gaskets, as well as the MAHLE Original pistons, piston rings, filters, turbochargers and thermostats.
The change as well as the MAHLE acquisition of Behr automotive cooling products will help bring about the company’s long-term diversification away from strictly an engine parts supplier.
Combine these with the addition of thermostats to the product offering, along with the expansion of filtration products and turbochargers, and a change in corporate identity was needed.
“MAHLE Clevite remained the only division worldwide that did not have Aftermarket in our legal name,” said Jon Douglas, General Manager, MAHLE Aftermarket. “We now join the Aftermarket divisions in Europe, South America, and Asia/Pacific regions as one global Aftermarket business unit.”
Drag car, musclecar, diesel truck, gas truck and off-road vehicle enthusiasts worldwide can continue to count on MAHLE brand products such as MAHLE Original, Clevite and Victor Reinz for top-notch engine performance products.
