A few weeks back, we discovered this incredible still photo of a wheelie bar-less motorcycle racer over in Bahrain who had literally taken flight, shown in the middle of a pirouette virtually parallel to the racing surface in a scene that was sure to have a nasty ending. We shared the image on the Dragzine Facebook page, and then set out to find a video of the accident to share with our readers. Of course it’s not easy to find things posted in Arabic on YouTube.

At long last, we finally discovered a video pieced together through an amazing capture of still photos that shows the entire incident, as what began as a typical pass for a Pro Street-style bike with an extended swingarm frame quickly turned awry when the bike abruptly went up and over during Round 2 of the Bahrain series back in early December.

Because it happened so quick, the rider, Kuwait native Kazem Al-Ali, was simply along for the ride, eventually releasing his hands from the handlebars once the bike had turned about 180 degrees. Al-Ali hit the pavement shoulder-first before the bike crashed to the ground with him. Luckily, thanks to Al-Ali’s timing in releasing the bike, the heavy projectile landed in front of him rather then squarely on top of him, allowing him to walk away without any injuries. No doubt, however, that that one could be felt the following morning.
